Explore the Ancient Civilizations of Greece
May 7-19, 2007
From the Palaces of Knossos and Mycenae, dating from 1600 BCE, to Hadrian's Arch, erected in the 2nd century CE, we will explore 1800 years of art.
Among the highlights are: Temple of Apollo in Delphi, the Altia in Olympia, the Theater in Epidaurus, Palace complex in Mycenae, the Propylaia in Eleusis, Gortis and Palace of Knossos on Crete, Thira and Akrotiri on Santorini, Temple of Poseidon on Cape Sounion, as well as Athens with the temples of the Acropolis, the ancient Agora nd Hadrian's Arch.
Local museums exhibit excellent examples of art found in many of these sites. For further information about price, accommodations, and what is included, click on the link to the itinerary below. The tour can be taken for undergraduate and graduate credit. Space is limited, so sign up soon.
