Signups and Rehearsals Begin for Libertyfest/UCO Summer Band

Signup is underway and rehearsals will start soon for the 58th annual LibertyFest/University of Central Oklahoma Summer Band.

The all-volunteer band performs marches and popular patriotic selections at the LibertyFest watermelon concert, a part of Edmond's 4th of July LibertyFest activities. This year's concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 26 on the UCO campus, at a location soon to be announced.

Community members, college musicians and high school band members are encouraged to join the band. There is no cost to participate. Seating will be done at the first rehearsal with no auditions required.

Rehearsals will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. beginning Monday, June 2 in the UCO School of Music band room. Rehearsals will continue every Monday until the concert.
