Design Studios
The Department of Design operates two semi-professional design studios. ClockTower Studio, for Graphic Design majors, was founded in 1988. Charles Evans Studio, for Interior Design majors, was founded in 2002. These studios are staffed by students who interview with the design faculty to be accepted to work in the studios. About 3-5 students are ‘hired’ each semester. The students work in teams with a designated Art Director or Project Manager. Students take turns filling different roles within the team. The work produced is of professional quality. The student designers receive valuable work experience that cannot be obtained in a typical design classroom. Students gain insight and expertise working with clients, budgets, material limitations, and deadlines.

During the past 14 years, students in ClockTower Studio have created award-winning work for over 225 clients in the Oklahoma City metro area.
